#Xbox one afterglow controller drivers for windows 8.1 driver
The origins of this driver I've modified are for the purposes of playing older games that predate Microsoft's XInput API. With it being an XBOX One controller it SHOULD work out of the box with vibration/force feedback with nearly all modern games. However, your particular Logitech controller doesn't even HAVE force feedback built into it! That'd be the F710 model (which I've added to be compatible)! The original XBOX controller does! I think that might just be what's happening. I know that when I have an original XBOX controller plugged in, my XBOX One controller won't vibrate. The Logitech COULD be the reason when plugged in alongside it. That is to say they will not vibrate or rumble. From my understanding of this driver, Xbox 360 racing wheels DO NOT WORK. x360ce may conflict with the force feedback of controllers (remove from game directory if this is the case) and try again.Ĥ. If you intend to use 360 controllers alongside an Xbox One controller you may have to have said 360 controller(s) turned on during installation.ģ. DOUBLE CHECK that "Force Feedback Driver for Xinput" is removed in Add or Remove Programs, restart PC, then try again.Ģ. I have tested this on two of my home computers and it worked on all Directinput reliant games.ġ. It simply redirects the force feedback call from DInput to XInput. This does not overwrite the official Xbox One Controller driver. (if prompted again, choose yes to complete installation)

Run again and click Complete, then choose install. If previous version is installed, click Remove.Ĥ. (If prompted beforehand, click more info or I understand and run anyway)ģ. Updated Force Feedback Driver for Xinput Controller Ģ.

If you are seeking support for official wired and wireless Xbox 360 controllers go here: To view updates (including TODAY's) and compatible controllers follow the OneDrive link and view the changelog.įor those interested in having force feedback, vibration, rumble or whatever one decides to call it, I have modified the existing Japanese force feedback driver for the 360 controller (and other xinput devices) by Masahiko Morii. Going forward "Updates" will no longer be posted here at the top.
